Cluster Finance Manager ACH-000010KNDescriptionJNJ Global Business Services is the Johnson & Johnson Shared Service Center in Europe, delivering compliant financial services to J&J affiliates across the EMEA region. Forming an integral part of the Account To Report (A2R) department, this position of Cluster Finance Manager is responsible for the accuracy of Trial Balance numbers for a given country. Key tasks for this role are to ensure transparency of actual figures for country finance teams, assure correctness of reported numbers in BRAVO, on timely basis and be the main contact person to local markets. This position also ensures that accurate Legal Entity US GAAP reporting is provided to the Country Tax Centre within given timelines.
Process responsibilities:
- “Face” to local markets, Business partner with local markets
- > make Actual figures transparent for markets, support local affiliate as appropriate
- Foster an environment of teamwork, innovation, process improvement across EBS & LA
- Governance Model: part of the monthly operational & quarterly tactical governance bodies
- Primary contact for escalation
- Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Co-ordination & monitoring of the completion of the closing calendar
- “Ownership” of country trial balances
- Financial Review of the Trial Balance (during closing) with Local Finance
- Overall coordination of the completion of BS Reconciliations for the whole LE
- Work closely with EBS to ensure clear understanding of postings and any BvA variances
- First level BvA
- Approval of BRAVO Submissions and responding to related questions from Corporate
- Liaison with other CoE / Local Finance entities (i.e. Cilag Shared Service, Tax COEs)
- Ownership of A2R related SOX key controls for LE / MRC in scope
- Approvals (Non-Standard Payments)
- Contact for local statutory liaison; responsibility for local statutory compliance/reporting
- Oversight of accurate and timely Legal Entity US GAAP reporting to local Country Tax Centre
- Projects (provide insights into local market specifics)People Management:
- Management and Leadership of I2C and A2R Accountants (located in Zug & Vienna)Travel:
- Circa 30%Compliance Statement:Key role for compliance (all approvals for respective cluster/country are done by this position)
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.
- Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlines.
Scope of Role:“Face” to the markets (First level contact); Business partnering with local markets, ensures accuracy of cluster/country Trial Balances (“Ownership” of Trial Balances).QualificationsQualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with 5-10 years post qualified financial experienceLanguages:
- Fluent English, confidence in presenting to Senior Management in English
- Other languages of EMEA countries preferred but not requiredExperience Required:
- Local market experience with European J&J companies
- 5-10 Years job experience in different Finance functions
- US GAAP reporting experience
- Local market Corporation Tax/J&J LR reporting experienceSkills & Competencies:
