The BIOPATCH Clinical Specialist provides professional, clinical support to customers (primarily physicians, nurses, and techs), through education and training related to BIOPATCH products. You will quickly become an extension and work collaborative our field sales force and District Management. Pivotal to your success will be your ability to develop effective working relationships with the customers in your territory, with whom you'll interact on a regular basis. The incumbent will represent BIOPATCH at trade shows, conventions and in key accounts.
The candidate chosen for this role will be expected to complete training and be certified on the BIOPATCH product line. Provide follow-up support to customers at end-user locations as needed. Develop strong, working relationships with end-users while providing product in-servicing and clinical education. Assist field sales in collection of product data to support team business case and clinical effectiveness of BIOPATCH product. Educate and inform end-users of clinical effectiveness and technical aspects of BIOPATCH. Assist in the distribution of product educational materials and programs. Support trade shows, educational events and National sales meetings as requested. Assist field sales staff in identifying sales opportunities and the presentation of clinical data outcomes end-users. Assist sales personnel by disseminating marketing materials to nurses, physicians and other end-users. Educate facility nurses and physicians on the proper techniques and technologies to help prevent catheter related bloodstream and local infections and complications. Plan and implement educational seminars/ Point Prevalence data collection on BIOPATCH. Remain current with related literature, clinical practice and BIOPATCH products/services and their clinical application.
QualificationsThis position requires an Associates degree or nursing diploma and three years of general clinical experience. Relevant clinical practice experience as a critical care and/or vascular access registered nurse is a plus. This position also requires demonstrated human relation and communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver formal presentations (large and small groups). Organization / planning, including time and territory management and structured thinking in clinical procedure settings. The ability to display decisiveness & good judgment in clinical situations. Good business savvy; able to grasp business concepts & related issues. Must be held accountable for meeting territory/account commitments and work as a contributor to the larger sales team. Work collaboratively with other BIOPATCH team members to ensure open communication of ideas and techniques. Incumbent must be highly organized and self-directed. Promotes the BIOPATCH Culture through positive ongoing customer relations. Candidates must have a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States and a clean driving record. As a salaried position, the hours are not restricted to “normal business hours” and ability to work flexible hours during days, nights and/or weekends as necessary is required. Limited travel may be required.
