Associate Manufacturing Operator-9717151009DescriptionNoramco, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Associate Manufacturing Operator. The position will be based in Wilmington, Delaware.
Noramco, Inc. produces a variety of active pharmaceutical ingredients and is a major worldwide producer of medicinal analgesics, pharmaceutical intermediates and synthetic fine organic chemicals. It also produces monomers and polymers for pharmaceutical and medical devices.
This role is responsible for using and assembling equipment and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications. Accountable for adhering to all quality, safety, regulatory, and standard operating procedures. Carries out objectives detailed in standard operating procedures in a safe and efficient manner while performing within compliance of safety, environmental and cGMP regulatory guidelines.
Additional responsibilities include compliance with company policies and procedures, our Credo, established safety procedures, and maintains a safe and clean working environment. Accurately completes batch logs and other documentation to produce product efficiently and compliance with cGMP and standard operating procedures. Recognizes and documents “abnormal” operating conditions with proper response including immediate notification of supervision. Ability to use SAP to document transactions via desktop and/or RF scanner. Oversees manufacturing process composed of steps such as set-up, loading, processing, drying, documentation and follow-up.
Proper operation of process controls, DCS systems, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment as detailed in procedures to product materials in a safe and cGMP environment. Makes good use of hold period for subsequent steps. Utilizes idle process time to perform other production related activities (housekeeping, Compliance Wire, etc.). Inspects components of the production cycle for compliance with standards.
QualificationsMinimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or twoyears related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of educationand experience is required. Work experience in a chemical and/orpharmaceutical environment that complies with GMP is required. Participateson investigative teams and site group initiatives (e.g. PHAs, PSSR, etc.).Assists in training operators. Successfully completes regulatory and jobtraining requirements on time. Understands and responsibly performs dutieswith attention to lean, quality, safety and environmental matters. Items include;wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, recognizing, reporting andappropriately responding to hazards in the work area (spills/accidents/nearmisses), maintaining proper housekeeping at all times, properly labeling andstoring chemicals, plus all other relevant job requirements.
Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA, OSHA and DEA. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures. Recognizes and reports unsafe conditions and procedures to supervisors immediately with relevant documentation. Makes positive contributions demonstrated by making suggestions for improvement and recommending solutions providing overtime as needed assisting in training co-workers learning new skills, procedures and processes. Performs other duties as assigned.
