As a member of the Analytical team in Research and Development, the Assistant Scientist provides analytical support to the growth and strategic business objectives of McNeil Consumer Healthcare and Johnson & Johnson through:Initiatives to transfer manufacturing processes to new equipment to enhance or improve the current supply chainProduct Development activity appropriate to achieving an assured supply of improved products and processesInitiatives to maintain and/or enhance regulatory and corporate complianceResponsibilities:This is a position to support Project PASTED on the Analytical team. Major responsibilities include:Development and execution of accelerated stability programsExecution of process development and validation batch testingAnalytical data and document reviewCoordination of analytical activities including task force representationProvide technical support to other departments with respect to analytical issuesMaintain the lab in accordance with current SOP’s, GMP’s and GLP’sQualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:Minimum Bachelor of Science or higher level degree in Chemistry or related discipline is requiredMinimum 2-3 years experience within the pharmaceutical or related industryKnowledge of GMP’s and good documentation practices is requiredCompetency in analytical laboratory practices within the pharmaceutical or related industry (GMP/GLP) is requiredStrong liquid chromatography (HPLC ) skills are requiredExperience in other analytical instrumentation (e.g. Dissolution, UPLC) is an asset.
