About the jobIn summary, this is a field based role that involves convincing business decision makers and eye care practitioners of the clinical and commercial superiority of the ACUVUE® range of products; and persuading them to be proactive in their promotion and prescribing of the ACUVUE® brand to their patients.
You'll be assigned a geographical region in which to maintain and grow designated accounts using proven practices, with full back-up in field and at head office and ongoing support. You will spend your time meeting Contact Lens Opticians and Optometrists within national optician chains, plus independent branches. Customer relationships and people development are fundamental, and you'll be expected to treat your territory as your own business.
You must be flexible about relocation within the UK, and may be asked to relocate more than once during the initial 12 month contract. Your territory’s geography will be confirmed upon offer.
You will provide representation for J&J Vision Care at regional and national clinical and educational conferences and customer meetings that may include evenings and weekends.
QualificationsYou will have a First or 2:1 degree (or equivalent), ideally in a business or science discipline, supported by evidence of high achievements and/or awards but which need not be academic or work-related. But your capacity for sheer hard work, dedication and self-belief will reflect your confidence, self-drive and highly competitive yet customer-centric approach. You will also need:
- Strong presentation skills
- An affinity for teamwork
- Excellent PC skills including a working knowledge of MS Office
- The emotional maturity to build relationships based on trust and respect
- A full, clean driving licence
- Appreciation of values upheld in the Johnson and Johnson CredoOrganisational and entrepreneurial business skills are further key qualities you need to deliver outstanding results. Some experience in sales and/or medical sales would be useful but isn't essential.
