Salary

£9.20 - £11.50 (depending on relevant skills and experience) plus 33.33% hourly Night shift premium paid between 10pm and 6am only

Full Time: 37.5 hours a week, working 5 out of 7 nights. 10pm-6am or 11pm-7am, working 3 out of 4 weekends.

Part Time: 30 hours a week, working 4 out of 7 nights, 10pm-6am or 11pm-7am including working every weekend.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role is at our new Customer Fulfilment Centre in Enfield, which will process and deliver Waitrose & Partners online shopping orders across London. The address is 345 Southbury Road, Enfield EN1 1TW. The nearest train station is Southbury

This is the latest in a number of investments to accommodate the demand for online customer orders at Waitrose & Partners. We want to ensure that our customers can purchase our products easily and conveniently using the latest technology. We need Warehouse Assistants who would love to ensure our customers get the kind of service they expect from Waitrose & Partners.

What's the role about?

To handle goods within the warehouse efficiently and accurately, loading and unloading vehicles as required, working to agreed productivity targets, following Health and Safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

What you'll be doing

You'll be picking online grocery orders efficiently and accurately, within productivity targets; loading and unloading vehicles; replenishing stock and general cleaning of the warehouse areas.

You'll be required to work in all areas of the warehouse including chilled and frozen areas at times, and will be required to follow strict Health and Safety guidelines.

Please note the role requires intensive manual handling and heavy lifting; involving repetitive bending, carrying, pulling and pushing activities. You must be able to cope with the physical requirements of the role and be able to lift and move heavy items and pull/push very heavy cages.

Previous experience in a warehouse would be welcomed, as would experience of mechanical equipment.
Basic standards of written English and maths.
