About the role:
Our Skilled Warehouse Operators work in a Warehouse Operation assisting the team to deliver in all receiving, storage and dispatch tasks ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time ready to be delivered to John Lewis customers and branches. As our Skilled Operational Partner you will use manual handling equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is supporting all the Partnership channels by managing stock coming in to and being sent out of the warehouse.
Performing duties of unloading and loading stock, accurately recording deliveries into the warehouse, moving stock around the warehouse and collecting stock for deliveries. All these duties to be performed in a safe manner with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety at all times.
Please note that this role involves heavy lifting.
Job Requirements:

Applicants should have the ability to deliver excellent customer service and strive for excellence in all they do.
·
The role requires a flexible approach; there will be times when you will be supporting the selling floor and other areas of the branch to meet the business needs.
Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
·
Previous experience in a warehouse role involving the movement of caged stock and manual handling would be an advantage, as would working in a retail environment.
·
Basic computer skills are required to use stock control systems.
