About the role
Our Retail Media business is growing this year, and we are on a transformation journey, working with some of the best global brands. As a Media Sales and Planning Specialist, you will work with Buyers and CPG's to understand details of commercial agreements and the value of supplier funds to be spent against internal and external assets. In this key role, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers and the wider Media Sales and Planning team to ensure supplier investments are planned and realised using the right tools and processes that support delivery and maximum return for both John Lewis and our brand partners.

Salary - £35,000.00 - £55,400.00.

Expected salary - £35,000 to £42,000 dependent on experience
·
Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.

Working pattern/flexible working - T he Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home-based, upon your personal needs, whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aim for around 1 day a week in the office to connect and 2 days a week connecting with Brands on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.

As a Media Sales and Planning Specialist, you will work with cross functional stakeholders, suppliers and the wider Media Sales team to ensure supplier investments are planned and realised using the right tools and processes that supports delivery and maximum return for both JL and our brand partners.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need

Negotiation skills developed from time in role with proven track record of meeting & exceeding targets

Experience working directly with brands to help build out and sell activation plans (preferably media or marketing related)
·
Strong levels of stakeholder management can influence vertically at all levels as well as horizontally to deliver the best outcomes.

Strong data led planning experience with an ability to manage several competing priorities to deliver the best outcome
Desirable skills/experience you may have (bold the header)
·
Media Sales experience of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
·
Experience of working with/in Marketing customer functions where media assets are sold into external marketing teams
·
Understands marketing assets, how to appraise their value and negotiate best price.
·
Digitally savvy, delivery using on-site media (e.g. AdTech)
