Approximately 37.5 hours per week which will include night shifts, evenings and day shifts.
This position requires alternate weekend working.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Odney Hotel. Our Place by the River. A beautiful John Lewis and Partners hotel, set in 130 acres by the River Thames in Cookham, Berkshire, offers character and charm.

This is a varied and dual role, where you will be working as a Night or Day Porter. You'll need to be self-motivated with a positive approach and be keen to provide great customer service
The Hotel Porter position is a responsible role where you will be overseeing the safety of our guests and the security of the site both as a night porter or day porter, ensuring our Conference Centre is clean and set up for meetings appropriately.

You'll also be involved in general hotel portering across the estate to include laundry runs. This includes a high level of manual handling and physical dexterity.

Job Requirements

This position has very varied responsibilities, to include the set up and breakdown of Events in the Conference Centre, assisting other departments with the movement of stock and deliveries across the estate, to greeting guests at Reception and checking them in (whilst working as Night Porter).

You will need great customer service skills and a flexible attitude.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Full driving licence
This role will involve lone working and a high level of manual handling.
