About the role
As a Foodhall Assistant, you'll work as part of a team to ensure our difference is felt by our customers on every visit to one of our Waitrose shops located within our John Lewis stores. You'll be providing the Partner-led service that our competitors can't compete with.

Key Responsibilities
Alongside the great service you provide to our customers, your role will involve a variety of shop-keeping related tasks to keep things running efficiently and productively.
Responsibilities include:
- Stock replenishment - ensuring our shelves remain as full as possible and products are in the right place at the right time for our customers.
- Fulfilling online customer orders.
- Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns to those reaching their sell by dates.
- Working with the wider shop team to support when needed on; checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on-demand customer orders and more.
- Striving to achieve excellent standards of display, availability & cleanliness, taking personal responsibility to achieve due diligence, complying with Branch Operating Procedures at all times.
- Completing tasks as directed by floor manager to support branch operation, delivering excellent productivity & service standards.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Experience of working within a team.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed but not essential. We'll train you in all you need to know so that you can perform at your best, everyday.
