The role internally is known as Estimator.

Duties & Responsibilities

A customer-facing role that involves you visiting Customer's homes to complete a full on-site survey in preparation for a number of projects. The role requires a high level of customer service, providing customers with accurate estimates using our computerised systems. You will be responsible for providing accurate error free work, demonstrating excellent communication skills and aim to gain an acceptance of the plans you produce from every customer.

Job Requirements

We have vacancies for both Furnishing Fabrics Estimators and Floor Coverings Estimators.
The roles are based in the Inner London area and require a considerable amount of driving between the branches, customer homes and the service building - a business use vehicle is provided for this purpose.

This role will include working primarily in the Inner London area with travel required to the following John Lewis branches:

John Lewis Oxford Street, Kingston, Peter Jones, Westfield White City, Brent Cross and Stratford .

Flexibility around working patterns is required to fulfil appointment demand.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Full (UK) driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
- all of our vehicles are manual, so you must hold a full licence, not just an automatic licence -

Experience of preparing estimates or plans is desirable.

Basic numerical skills to enable you to sense check the estimates.

Customer service experience.
