Your Responsibilities

 

As a Software Developer for John Deere's Parts Distribution Center (PDC) located in Milan, IL, you will design, develop, configure, and integrate solutions to support the Parts Dealer Order Entry IT systems including SAP, DNS and JAVA applications such as JDPOINT. In addition, you will:

 

·  Perform unit-tests against the solution, creates automated test scripts, and executes all other testing-related tasks as defined against a user story's acceptance tests
·  Lead the Identification, analysis and selection of complex information technology and business practices to support strategic business process/plans for Parts
·  Utilize industry-standard Agile Software design methodology for development and documentation to works collaboratively on an Agile team Implement functionality from the product backlog (managed by the Product Owner) that meets the defined and agreed upon acceptance criteria
·  Work closely with other team members and business partners throughout the Parts Division to ensure that features meet business needs
·  Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Security and other IT Partners to actively build strategic business relationships, accomplish enterprise initiatives, and perform compliance activities
·  Coordinate the deployment of enhancements related to Dealer Ordering and Dealer Customer Support using established technical change management guidelines
·  Support, evaluate, and continuously improve the technology solutions for the Parts Division by answering general questions, resolving break/fix issues, and working on process enhancements

What Skills You Need

 

·  5 or more years of working experience with Java & J2EE technologies and relevant frameworks 
·  4 or more years of experience working with applications, data, infrastructure, and/or IT security 
·  5 or more years of experience with service orientated design implementations 
·  3 or more years of experience analyzing, translating and defining business requirements in to technical solutions 
·  Effective organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills 
·  Effective communication and listening skills 
·  Experience adapting to shifting project schedules, priorities, and assignments 
·  Willingness and ability to work off-hours with global team members, support existing business partners, and go-live implementations with travel up to 25%, both domestically and abroad 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

·  Experience working with REST web services, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Maven 
·  Experience with CI/CD build processes and configuration including SAP Systems 
·  5 or more years of database experience; SQL, Oracle, DB2 
·  Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP web-based applications 
·  Large-scale web applications experience 

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

·  Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline
