Function: Product Engineering
Title: NVH Engineer - 56656 

Your Responsibilities

As an NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) Engineer at the Product Engineering Center, located in Waterloo, IA, you work with engineering design groups to ensure that current and new products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements related to noise and vibration. In addition, you will:

·  Lead development of analytical models to predict vibration response, interior acoustic response, and exterior noise from various sources within a vehicle
·  Establish correlation methodologies to ensure accurate and reliable model predictive capabilities
·  Incorporate new tools and techniques to increase NVH analysis competency
·  Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop solutions for difficult NVH issues
·  Mentor junior employees to aid their professional development

What Skills You Need

·  2 or more years of experience in agricultural, automotive, heavy machinery, or similar industry
·  Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
·  Demonstrated high level of analytical ability where problems are difficult or unusual 
·  Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and public speaking) interpreting results for technical and non-technical audiences

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

·  Proficiency with NVH CAE analysis
·  Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with acoustics emphasis
·  Experience with NVH product testing, analysis of test data, and correlating NVH analysis models with test data
·  Experience with experimental or analytical transfer path analysis
·  Experience with gear & bearing noise for drivetrain systems
·  Experience leading others in an analysis project team 
·  Experience with aeroacoustics of cooling systems

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following: 

·  Bachelor's degree in Engineering
