Function: Supply Management / Logistics
Title: Material Coordinator - 57531 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Material Coordinator for John Deere Construction and Forestry (C&F), located in Davenport, IA you will support production departments/employees on part shortages or problems and drive for resolution and root cause of issues. In addition, you will: 

 

·  Communicate issues/resolution to the appropriate module representatives for follow up and attend daily production meetings to report on hot parts
·  Recommend procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management
·  Find and correct root cause of material shortages and provide recommendations for solutions
·  Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability
·  Implement the output from the engineering release and the change management process and resolve consumption errors and drive for issue resolution
·  Support monthly and yearly financial audits
·  Participate as team member or team lead on Inventory Accuracy Teams
·  Successful candidates in this role have a history of being detail oriented, going above and beyond to solve problems, have excellent communication skills, make connections and develop working relationships with people in many areas

What Skills You Need  

 

·  Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
·  Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with an emphasis on effective written and verbal communication
·  Proven organizational experience handling multiple projects or tasks
·  Experience working in a team environment and delivering expected results
·  Able and willing to work extended hours to support the production schedule 
 

What Makes You Stand Out  

 

·  Experience with a Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system (Such as: SAP, Oracle, home grown system, etc)
·  Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations
·  Knowledge of supply management systems, processes and practices
·  Proven experience working proactively in a self-guided environment
·  Demonstrated ability to work with data, analytics and reporting 
 

Education (or equivalent work experience)  

 

·  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Management
