Your Responsibilities

As an Hybrid Electric Drive Engineer in the Construction & Forestry Division Advanced Research and Development (ARaD) team located in Dubuque, IA you will be responsible for C&F battery & 48V technologies throughout the Technology Delivery Process (TDP), Critical Component Delivery Process (ISDP), and early phases of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).  In addition, you will:

·  Provide C&F battery &48V technical direction and leadership. Recognized throughout the enterprise as a battery & electric drive technical expert.
·  Collaborate with EDSG on new technologies
·  Utilize the Technology Development Process (TDP) to design, develop, and deliver solutions in the area of electric drive & batteries. Document the design solution requirements for building of mule machines/prototypes for proof of concept and for transition to ISDP/PDP
·  Apply knowledge of company products, policies and practices to deliver technology solutions to our customers that improves their business in a profitable way
·  Lead supplier technology development in the area of battery & 48V components
·  Develop, maintain, and communicate 48V & battery knowledge including industry and technical innovations
·  Develop and/or execute test or analysis plan for proof of concept and product verification and validation
·  Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders on system design concepts, status and decision making

·  Proven ability to creatively solve problems
·  Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues
·  Experience in executing projects
·  Experience with Enterprise Product Development Process (EPDP)
·  Experience working with suppliers, internal and external partners to develop and deliver effective solutions to address problems

 

What Makes You Stand Out

·  Vehicle design experience of battery & 48V that meet life & cost requirements
·  Proven ability to write requirements
·  5 or more years design experience of electric components
·  Experience working with off-road vehicle applications and systems 
·  Systems engineering experience
·  A Master's degree in Science in an engineering discipline

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience.
