Note: This position may be done remotely but is highly preferable to be in the Urbandale location. If this position is done remotely, there will be an expectation that the employee travel to Urbandale at least once per month.

Title: Embedded Software Engineer (C++ Developer) - 56265
Your Responsibilities
As an Embedded Software Engineer , for the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG-Urbandale), you will develop C++ for applications utilizing perception software, machine learning, or advanced algorithms on John Deere vehicles. In addition, you will:
· Work with other Deere units to commercialize perception solutions on platforms.
· Accelerate application opportunities that require a mix of image processing & machine learning. This position will have a focus on C++ software development for applications and integration of the advanced algorithm into the application software that runs on embedded hardware.

What Skills You Need
· Experience programming in C++, Linux
What Makes You Stand Out
· Experience programming in Embedded C software
· Experience with SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies
· Knowledge of network programming with TCP/IP or middleware such as DDS
· Experience developing autonomous mobile robots
· Experience developing perception solutions in harsh environments
· Experience applying Image processing, OpenCV, Matlab Image Processing Toolbox Applications, Machine Learning, Caffe, or TensorFlow
· Master's or Ph.D. in an applicable field
Education (or equivalent work experience)
· Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar education that enables adequate software skill background
