Your Responsibilities

 

As a Data Wrangler for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL you will provide knowledge of key programing languages and visualization application tools utilized for data analytics possessing a broad understanding of business needs from multiple functional areas. In addition, you will:

 

·  Develop dashboards and visualizations that enable business users to leverage insights
·  Develop customized reports
·  Identify and retrieve data necessary for analysis; retrieve data from new, complex, or messy data sources
·  Support business management in all matters concerning analytical techniques
·  Participate in system upgrade reviews, testing, and training in order to validate and deploy system/process changes
·  Support new internal tool development

What Skills You Need

 

·  Advanced skills in SQL (High)
·  Experience extracting, validating, cleaning, and manipulating data from relational database servers such as IBM DB2, Netezza, or Amazon Redshift products
·  Advanced skills with business intelligence software such as Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny
·  Experience creating custom visualizations or tools to address business needs
·  Experience understanding business requirements through personal knowledge or through requirements gathering with end users in the business
·  Experience identifying opportunities for data to provide efficiency gains or more effective decision making in the business
·  Experience compiling and presenting data to influence business decisions
·  Proven experience communicating complex, technical information to a non-technical audience
·  Proven experience showing a strong desire for continuous learning

·  Experience identifying and acting on business or process improvements
·  Experience navigating and extracting data from SAP HANA database servers
·  Advanced skills in data science programming language for data manipulation (example R or Python)
·  Experience applying statistical analysis and models to drive business action
·  Experience with big data and cloud computing

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

 

·  Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, mathematics, economics, or computer science
