Main Responsibilities:

This position works on projects to define key parts of the next generation of Deere embedded software architecture, focusing on the architecture and infrastructure associated with the AUTOSAR defined operating system. These projects will help define how Deere development teams design software for the next generation of embedded systems, including software architecture, development work flows and processes, and software infrastructure features. This position is viewed as an expert in embedded software development and software architecture within Deere.

 

What Skills You Need:

·  3+ years of experience with 16/32-bit micro controllers and compiler tool chains (ANSI C or C++)
·  2+ years of experience in AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) and /or Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) development/configuration, and testing.
·  Expertise in microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.g. PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, interrupt and trap functions, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.)
·  Experience with compilers and linkers.
·  Experience with communication protocols (e.g. UDS, J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP, SPI, LIN, CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet etc.)
·  Strong understanding of electric interfaces (analog and digital) and software.
·  Experience with RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, ERCOSEK, MicrosarOS).
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
·  Proactive.
·  Experience in working with global teams.
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

·  Experience with UML or SysML or similar modeling languaje
·  Experience with Multicores and Preemptive environment.
·  Experience in all phases of product development and software development lifecycle
·  Understanding of diagnostics, reprogramming, and cybersecurity
·  Understanding of industry standards (IEC, UL, ISO, SAE) as related to functional safety
·  1+ years of experience with tools such as PREEvision, DaVinci suite, CANape, CANdelaStudio, etc.

 

Education:

·  Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
·  Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Digital Systems and Robotics Or Advanced Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
