Strategic Pricing Analyst - What this job involves
The Pricing team is responsible for driving ROI, margin and sales through the delivery of optimized value-based pricing guidance and tracking globally. The team will leverage a deep understanding of customer needs and collaboration with Product Leadership, Marketing and Research to identify, quantify and translate personas, differentiators, value proposition and competitive positioning into a cohesive pricing strategy that is organized by product and geography for both new and existing products. The pricing strategy includes development of financial models and implications, customer/field feedback and continuous optimization.
The Strategic Pricing Analyst will be an integral part of the Pricing team working alongside the Strategic Pricing Sr. Director. The primary focus of this role will support our Energy & Sustainability Services; however, there will be special projects where help is needed in other product groups. This role can be in Chicago or London. This is a global role that involves coordination with colleagues across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
Responsibilities
· Assist in the development of value-based pricing strategies, processes and guidance based on the collection and interpretation of market research and VOC for Energy & Sustainability Services
· Collect, evaluate, and analyze pricing related internal and external data, develop pricing models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics
· Partners with Energy & Sustainability Services product team and other CS product teams to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
· Audit existing pricing agreements and make recommendations
· Partner with market intelligence to develop and execute market research studies to inform pricing and quantify differentiated Value Prop, conduct research and performs competitive pricing analysis
· Develop financial models to quantify revenue and margin impact of pricing strategies
· Work with 3rd party vendors to engage in strategic pricing studies to inform pricing strategy and differentiation
· Help develop and maintain a historical pricing database
· Work with team to gather and develop customer and field feedback to drive assessment of pricing strategy and push further optimization of approach

· Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Economics, Math, Statistics or Finance
· 2 or more years of relevant pricing work experience in a corporate or pricing consultancy
· Financial acumen and experience with data analysis, data cleansing, data modeling, and pricing analysis
· Ability to navigate and thrive in a large matrix organization and establish credibility and influence
· Strong Analytical and Strategic Thinking Skills - Ability to interpret and synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources into meaningful, action-oriented recommendations.
· Exceptional Communication Skills - Develop and sustain close working relationships with key stakeholders. Able to argue and defend analysis and the implications of it to all levels of the organization.
· Results Driven - Ability to design studies to address questions or business problems. Self-motivated and organized to successfully complete work projects. Attentive to details. Expected to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously and maintain high quality deliverable
