Job description



An Associate will be responsible for developing pro forma financials, gathering and evaluating business information, occupancy, and real estate market data, preparing presentations and requests for qualifications / proposals, as well as financial reporting for clients of the firm. S/He will also be responsible for reviewing and analyzing legal documents and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, for occupancy strategies.  Associates will help our team successfully complete engagements for occupier clients in the following areas: Occupancy Planning, Space data management, Technology implementation.

Job Responsibilities

·  Reporting
·  Compile Quarterly Report Data
·  Field Verify Occupancy Planning Data
·  Reports, plans and spreadsheets required to support the planning organization for its internal processes or to facilitate decision-making by departments on a campus or within a building; and
·  Churn reports by department and building.
·  Communication
·  To ensure accurate reporting of information, and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations, communication channels will exist with:
·  Department Managers and/or Administrative Assistants to collect seating assignments;
·  Move Coordinator (Move Project Manager) to monitor the progress of a project move; and
·  Occupancy Planner to review and resolve campus / building-specific forecasts, needs, concerns, and issues.
·  Operations
·  Coordinates with Facility Management to document the actual occupancy of a department after a project move is complete;
·  Manages Work Order In Box
·  Participates in Audits (including seat assignments, occupancy, vacancy, labs & equipment)
·  Conduct Dark Space Studies
·  Incorporates churn-related information (M-A-Cs completed by Facility Management) into the planning database;
·  Assists Occupancy Planner in planning-related initiatives and project move planning;
·  Provides occupancy information to appropriate parties while participating in project move meetings
·  Organizational
·  Proactively manage smaller work streams during client engagements
·  Client Management
·  Support Occupancy Planning by assisting in the development of project process, tools, and client deliverables that will be included in best practices. 
·  Support senior leadership with preparation and as-needed assistance with major Corporate Solutions account pitches or proposals. 
·  Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

·  Education/Training
·  Minimum - B.A./B.S in Real Estate, Finance or Accounting
·  Preferred – MBA
·  Years of relevant experience
·  Minimum – 2-4 years
·  Preferred
·  5 years
·  3 years management consulting experience or commercial real estate related experience
·  Skills and Knowledge
