LAB SERVICES TECHNICIAN: Reagent Management Services (RMS)
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Under minimal supervision, perform Lab Services functions supporting the customer’s R&D community. Interact with customer base and collaborate with JLL colleagues to maintain a successful partnership and exceed expectations. Perform other Lab Services duties as directed by supervision.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities and cross-training opportunities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Fulfill internal/external chemical requests submitted by the customers. Execute sourcing and weighing requests submitted by the customers – includes subdivision of chemicals and library collections. Maintain stockroom inventories according to the thresholds determined by customers’ stockroom manager(s). Communicate with customers and/or shipping department to schedule inter-site and intra-site shipments of materials. Communicate with supervisor regarding supply stock, material needs, software upgrades, etc. Assist with chemical stockroom, laboratory supply stockroom, and site inventories. Comply with all GXP regulations and documentation while performing services in applicable areas. Collect and supply metrics as required by management. Assist in training for backup of all Lab Services duties – where applicable. Maintain a safe and clean working environment within the laboratory and office. Complies with all JLL and customer company policies and procedures, and adheres to JLL company standards. Performs other duties within Lab Services department as requested by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred; work experience equivalent acceptable.
2. Prior experience in a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical, medical device, or other Life Science industry preferred.
3. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
4. Prior experience with TRACE and SmartBalance software preferred though not required.
5. Comply with all safety standards and policies required for site, department, and job function.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with management and employees at all levels within an organization, including customers.
7. Must be a team player committed to working in a safe, high-performance, and quality-driven environment.
