Job description

Jigsaw is a British company that has been involved in the design, manufacturing and retailing of clothes and accessories for over thirty-five years. The first store opened in Hampstead in 1972 and the company has steadily expanded to currently operate over 50 stores in the UK. In 1996 Jigsaw Junior was established to extend the product range from purely women’s fashion and this year Jigsaw re-launched its Menswear range after a 10 year hiatus. The brand has also seen international expansion in the USA, where it currently trades from 4 stores on the West Coast.

Jigsaw is the trading name of Robinson Webster (Holdings) Limited. In addition to Jigsaw, the group includes The Shop at Bluebird, offering a cool and unique collection of women’s and men’s designer brands on London’s King's Road.

We’re looking for a Licensing Intern to work as a part of the Licensing team on a 3-month internship at the Jigsaw Head Office, Based in Kew.

This is an opportunity for someone who is working towards a career in the retail industry and looking to explore various career options and avenues.

Key Tasks will include:

• Collating product information into a document which will include such information as sample images, colour swatches, product codes, and pricing: to be sent externally
• Monitoring internal licencing sales for replenishment
• Sending weekly reports to external partners
• Managing and tracking postage of garment samples internationally
• Filing of documents and samples
• General office administration, diary management, assisting in management travel itineraries/bookings, and licencing team expenses.

What you will be learning:

• Licensing and brand development
• Whilst reporting into the licensing and brand development assistant, you will be working closely with the team and gaining insight into licensing and business operations.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Have a real love for retail
• Have a ‘can do’ approach
• Who can work well as part of a vibrant team to achieve all deadlines

Skills required

• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
• Strong administration skills
• Good written and verbal communications

In return for this valuable industry experience we will cover your travel expenses within London (Zones 1-6) and £2.50 per day towards your lunch expenses.
