As a key member of the Vehicle Weight Attribute Team, which has a critical role in the regulation of tailpipe CO2, GHG, and customer driven attributes, you’ll be involved with vehicle weight target setting right through to delivery, learning about attribute management regarding mass properties and weights to improve vehicle efficiency in line with 2020 emission reduction legislation.
You’ll be supporting the Weight PAT Leader in the delivery of weight and mass properties target development, conducting vehicle level benchmarking and supporting attribute futuring. You’ll co-ordinate design efficiency reviews and generate programme specific weight engineering reports, loading charts, and parametric models. You’ll also generate regular reports, panel charts, and tech data sheets that will be used to support data analysis and validation.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll bring strong leadership and project management skills to this role, ideally within an automotive environment where whole vehicle engineering knowledge and cross-functional experience has been applied.
You’ll be a problem solver and results-focused, able to deliver quality and consistency in a high pressure environment. You’ll be a strong stakeholder manager, building cross-functional relationships and reacting and adapting to requirements changes positively. A degree or relevant engineering experience is also highly beneficial.
