WHAT TO EXPECT
An opportunity has arisen within our Volume Planning team for a Volume Planner, which is part of the Purchasing team. We’re responsible for supporting buyers in supplier capacity planning activities at a commodity level.
As a Planner, you’ll coordinate with a range of internal and external stakeholders from Product Development and Sales specialists to suppliers and colleagues within Commodity Purchasing. Part of this coordination, you’ll support capacity verification exercises, identify commodities to track, and maintain the commodity capacity database.
In addition, you’ll support buyers to ensure there is flexibility within the supply base in order to assure supply. This role will give you a unique opportunity within Purchasing to experience the whole volume planning process. You'll therefore play a part in shaping the future of our volume planning mechanism and directly contributing to delivering the challenging but exciting volume growth that we have in our current business plan.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Besides outstanding analytical skills, you’ll be able to demonstrate prior cross-functional working experience. You’ll also need an excellent knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: Business Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing, or Supplier Technical Assistance (within the manufacturing industry). It is essential that you’ll have a good understanding of supplier production processes, lead times, and capacity planning.
In addition, you’ll come with advanced computer skills in a variety of applications including MS Office. As a skilled communicator, you’ll be able to negotiate with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the business.
