What to expect:
Special Vehicles Operations are searching for highly motivated individuals to join the team on a very exciting journey, towards a world class leading facility producing JLRs performance flagship models. The workshop currently works on Armoured, Limited Editions, Bespoke, Royal & Diplomatic and Commercial vehicles. Going forward it will be more centred on customer options for performance enhancement, sport designs and personalisation based out of Oxford Road. Oxford Road is launching a brand new customer facing facility based on Formula 1 designs, with a VIP Lounge for Customers to choose Bespoke options to add onto JLR products. This is a fantastic opportunity for highly motivated Group Leaders to come and join the team at this very exciting time.

The Material Planning and Logistics (MP&L) function at Oxford Road requires a confident and self-motivated individual to provide and clear vehicle scheduling, forecasting and build planning system. A lot of the systems in SVO require a level of manual intervention so it is imperative we clearly plan and manage our pipelines. This impacts many aspects of the business from Core plant vehicle scheduling, distribution and the programme/ marketing teams. Due to the nature of the products we produce at Oxford Road our customers expectations are extremely high and in many cases receive regular phone calls from VIP relation teams within Special Operations. As a manufacturing team we need to have a point of contact who is dealing with the entire pipeline and forecasting system from sales orders to supplier constraints. This role will cover multiple facet of a vehicle scheduling co-ordinator and more.

Key Responsibilities:
• Vehicle sales liaison point of contact with marketing, Global VIPs and JLR sales centres on vehicle dispatch dates and volume forecasting
• Up front build planning with the Manufacturing and programme teams
• Continuous forecasting and communicating with sales and marketing on vehicle dispatch dates (actuals versus targets)
• Working with our VIP liaison and Customer Handover team to improve the ongoing service and communication channels
• Up front planning in terms of vehicle distribution with the dispatch and logistics teams across the plants
• Planning with special moves and transportation contractors to cover peaks in launches and vehicle movements
• Liaison with Vehicle Scheduling at the core plant to ensure pipeline planning supports SVO sales forecasts & discuss road blocks
• Conducting tours with VIP guests and visitors on an ad-hoc basis
• TS16949 actions and delivery
• Customer service point of contact and liaison between Manufacturing and customer service team as required
• Supporting the logistics team wherever possible with supplier relations and readiness events

What you’ll need:

• Ideally qualified to degree level
• Vehicle scheduling and planning background
• Logistics experience
• Marketing and communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Able to interact with different levels and areas of the business
