UX/UI Designer

 

This role is a UX/UI Designer with industry experience.
 

The UI/UX Designer will work with Jaguar Land Rover in the Digital Development centre. The role will be as a member of the allocated scrum team, working on a variety of global digital projects. There will be an expectation of knowledge sharing and mentoring in the UX/UI space. The role will be responsible for creating outstanding client user experiences.

The role is expected to be client-facing so there is an expectation of a penchant for collaborative working and creative thinking.

Key Responsibilities

 

·  Collaboration with DDC team members and client stakeholders to define and implement innovative and fully responsive digital solutions
·  Exhibiting an in-depth awareness of User Centred Design including development of personas and experience maps to inform approaches to personalisation
·  Creation of interactive and responsive annotated wireframes, storyboards, user flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
·  Performing user research and evaluation of user feedback
·  Possible facilitation of UX-focussed client workshops as part of insight gathering and discovery
·  Helping to establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

 

Technical/Specialist Skills and/or Experience

 

·  Proven UI / UX experience with at least 2 years’ industry experience
·  Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
·  Highly creative with a strong sense of design and aesthetic
·  Examples of designs (on all platforms especially mobile) that you were responsible for
·  Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
·  Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
·  Experience of working in an agency environment or an in house digital team
·  Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
·  Experience in at least some of the following Design tools, Prototype Tools  and Platforms  -  Sketch / Adobe XD / Figma / Framer / Principle / Flinto / Photoshop / Illustrator / Origami / Marvel
·  Knowledge of insight-gathering tools such as Hotjar, Google Analytics, VWO
·  Good knowledge of HTML / CSS
·  Experience of working in an Agile team
·  Excellent communication skills, good verbal and written communication

 

The following skills and experience are nice to have:

 

·  Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development and incremental delivery
·  Some experience of Java Virtual Machine based environment: Java
