WHAT TO EXPECT
Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works is an all-new facility based in Coventry dedicated to offering a range of products and services designed to fuel the passion of owners and enthusiasts for classic Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. Classic Works is home to Jaguar Land Rover Classic Legends and signifies a significant investment in traditional car making and restoration skills by Jaguar Land Rover in the UK’s original ‘Motor City’.
Jaguar Land Rover are seeking a variety of talented people who can demonstrate skills, experience and associated qualification required for the restoration of a range of classic vehicles trim. Within your role you’ll be hand crafting materials to create / recreate complete heritage Jaguar and Land Rover interior trims. You’ll be laying out fabric patterns, developing patterns, cutting and sewing and upholstering entire projects, from seats to steering wheels in the delivery of world class interiors.
Within your role you’ll be involved in appraisals in conjunction with our engineers & our customers to support with the creation of World-Class and highly sought-after products. You’ll undertake any additional work as directed by your Line Manager.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 3 years’ paid working experience of classic vehicle trimming.
Alongside a time-served relevant apprenticeship with a vehicle trimming (or similar) NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Additionally, you’ll be confident in communicating with both your team and customers, and will be computer literate too. Flexibility is key within your role as you’ll be required to work both in the UK & abroad on occasions.
You’ll be capable with using a wide range of machinery, tooling & other equipment utilised in a modern classic trim shop environment. You’ll be able to demonstrate exemplary business behaviours and have the ability to communicate with our internal & external stakeholders.
