This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

As Hardware Development Engineer you’ll be reporting into the Lead Engineer and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a component group on Land Rover and Jaguar programmes.

 

The Transmissions and Driveline team are responsible for the design and release of key vehicle systems and components. This department is responsible for all aspects of the Transmissions and Driveline engineering delivery, ensuring that all Jaguar & Land Rover programmes are supported with the appropriate products, to successfully deliver the programme gateway requirements for strength, cost, weight and efficiency.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline and have an understanding of Transmission and Driveline components and systems. You’ll have the ability to manage complex technical issues using analytical skills, working with data, within demanding project timing constraints.

 

In addition, you’ll be able to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, be self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Experience of FMEA, Microsoft project, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word processes are essential, PCDS & AIMS experience would be desirable.
