What to expect:

The Release and Follow Up function is responsible for maintaining the efficient and timely flow of parts from global suppliers to the Export Sales Centre, ensuring delivery to schedules on time and in full.

The Material Supply Analyst is a highly visible role, regularly liaising with customer and our Lead Logistic Partner (LLP), Purchasing, STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) and a supply base in the UK and overseas to ensure a smooth supply of parts into the Export Centre and to our end customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate LLP activities to ensure the efficient and timely flow of parts from global suppliers to the Export Centre.
Promote strong Company / supplier relationships and develop robust techniques to improve supplier performance.
Coordinate with Suppliers, Purchasing, and STA in the effective resolution of supply issues that risk ongoing and future Export Centre performance.
Negotiate and authorise premium freight to ensure that costs are kept within budget whilst ensuring continuity of operations at all times.
Ensure supply / part availability for all engineering changes and new model programme actions through close monitoring of supply plans and parts delivery timing. Ensure that obsolescence liability is minimised by working closely with the Data Integrity/Engineering Change Control team and the LLP Material Handling team.
Analyse KPI’s, monitor worsening trends, repeat issues, and poor performance indicators. React in a timely manner to all issues with appropriate containment actions, identify root cause, and drive permanent solutions.
Ensure good communication and appropriate escalation of issues which may affect continuity of operations. Use and develop the ‘risk sheet’ and associated processes.

Candidate Profile

What you’ll need:

Essential
• Strong Analytical and Investigation skills essential.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills (written & verbal) with ability to use own initiative.
• Must have a thorough logical approach to issues, with high attention to detail.

Desirable
• Ability to write A3s, technical reports and deliver presentations to various levels.
• Preferably Degree qualified (or studying towards).
• Relevant experience of Material Planning and Logistics processes would be an advantage, in particular Release & Follow Up/Supply Chain
• Working knowledge of problem solving tools including PPS/8D.
