WHAT TO EXPECT

With your expertise within Press Tool Manufacturing, you’ll be working exclusively from our world-class Land Rover manufacturing plant in Castle Bromwich. Here you’ll be working on our tooling which is used to make our luxurious vehicles.

Within your role as a Toolmaker you’ll be undertaking preventative maintenance activities on our press line tooling, in addition to addressing die repair and reconditioning activities. You’ll have the ability to engineer change activities & die modifications, and you’ll be able to use your keen eye for detail when identifying problems and root cause analysis.

You’ll provide maintenance support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain various press tools which are used to press the aluminium into its beautiful form, enabling us to go on producing our world-class products which are admired around the globe.

Flexibility is key within the team as you’ll be required to work on a 4-shift pattern.

 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Alongside a completed relevant indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship in Engineering or Toolmaking, we would expect you to have extensive Press Tool Maintenance knowledge and an eye for detail as you create the smooth finish that is required. You'll take a proactive approach to completing repairs and routine maintenance checks and ensure tooling is ready on time for the next run.
