In your new role as a Tool Room & Model Making Supervisor, you’ll be operating in a reactive prototyping environment you'll have responsibility for the supervision of a high performing team of 70+ skilled associates performing a broad range of prototyping tasks including: CNC Machining, Fabrication, Stamping, Sheet Metalwork & Model Making. Using your leadership skills you’ll support with managing the facilities, liaise with management, project managers and schedulers to understand their requirements and ensure workload co-ordination in the workshop and plans are met.
To achieve success in your new role, you’ll:
- Maintain and adapt internal processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Support the development and making of parts
- Work as part of a team with good attention to detail
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
With your good listening skills and communication skills, you’ll join us with experience of supervising a large team. You’ll have a track record of successfully delivering products with focus on planning and scheduling projects.
You'll have expert knowledge across a range of metalworking processes such as CNC Machining, Stamping & Fabrication alongside this you'll have experience within a supervisory or leadership role as well as a proven record of working to deadlines. Jaguar Land Rover has invested significantly to develop its in-house prototyping capabilities and you will work in a modern and highly capable prototyping facility.
You’ll need to be:
- Highly knowledgeable within a manufacturing environment
- Detail oriented
- Able to demonstrate computer proficiency.
