Test Engineer SALARY £32,500 to £50,000 (offered at a variety of levels)

LOCATION: Whitley or Wolverhampton (depending on role)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering teams. You’ll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

Test Engineers work in every corner of our manufacturing business, you'll work closely with Product Development Engineers, facility vendors, and tooling suppliers to ensure that component and whole engine designs meet world class quality and efficiency standards. You’ll be required to support the Plant Quality Team with the delivery of all Product Validation and audit tests.

Working with the Dyno Test Teams you’ll help to ensure we meet with current test and certification standards, you’ll also support Test Cell upgrades to meet new and existing program needs.

Our Test Engineer roles are broad and you’ll have the opportunity to introduce a number of testing processes across multiple programme areas to ensure best practice and compliance standards are met.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll be a born engineer, displaying competencies in one or more key areas (ideally within automotive), all gained from experience of working in a large, global manufacturing organisation. You’ll be process driven and capable of devising robust testing strategies and a stickler for both process adherence and attention to detail when it comes to analysis. Ideally you’ll be degree educated in engineering, science, physics or similar disciplines, and you’ll be a natural communicator who can influence and build credibility with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
