LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

Sophisticated and technically complex, the electrical distribution systems in our vehicles are designed to the highest specifications, and when you join us, you’ll lead the team responsible for maintaining and delivering systems for a number of different models.

The main aim of this role is to lead the Test team who are responsible for the validation and verification of the feature(s) within the area of your responsibility. Being the owner of the test management and planning activities, you’ll appropriately allocate tasks across your team of Test Engineers. You’ll have overall responsibility for the team’s delivery of system and software validation and verification, including the design, development, qualification and execution of test cases, methods and environments.

Your work will also see you collaborate with the Systems Team Leads and Lead Engineers to deliver requirements-driven V&V solutions in a timely manner and according to vehicle programme timing and project milestones. In addition, you’ll need to determine priorities and direct the testing of requirements, which will require assigning tasks across the Project Test team, scheduling tests on L3/4/5 rigs and vehicles and managing test plans to ensure timely delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll come to this role with a record of leading a team of engineers and assigning tasks appropriately, along with knowledge of system engineering principles and an understanding of validation techniques throughout all stages of the engineering development ‘V’ cycle.

In addition, you’ll need experience in the development of V&V processes including test case design, traceability to requirements and qualification of test environment, along with System and Software test experience.
