SALARY: £33000 - £40000

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Our Suspension Systems Integration team drives the development of our suspension systems from concept through to production. The team is responsible for the development of suspension geometry, performance targets, suspension and per-unit loads, suspension error states avoidance (shimmy, pull/drift, improper tyre wear, steering wheel misalignment and manufacturing capability) and the design of suspension concepts to meet these requirements.

 

As a Suspension Geometry Capability Engineer, you’ll compile and issue manufacturing specifications for suspension geometry and technically lead the delivery of wheel alignment and ride heights. You’ll also lead suspension systems integration launch elements including problem definition and root cause at each physical build phase. In addition to this you’ll support the delivery of durability, geometry and Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) rig components and pretesting sign off.

Finally, you’ll build multi-functional and multi-site relationships and manage complex technical issues within project timing constraints.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You'll have demonstrable knowledge of chassis systems including suspension design and functional requirements. You’ll also have good working knowledge of process capability analysis and suspension assembly in manufacturing.

 

With the ability to manage and resolve complex technical issues, you’ll be able to deliver to tight time constraints and with minimal supervision. You'll have high levels of personal organisation, high drive, self-motivation, and be able to work confidently under pressure.

 

Paired with your working knowledge and experience, you will also ideally be educated to HND or degree level within a relevant field.
