LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire 

ADVERTISED SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000

 

Jaguar & Land Rover Design is a world class organisation with responsibility for the creation and delivery of all visible parts on the exterior & interior of all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. The Design team is multi-disciplined, with Designers (Interior, Exterior, Colour & Materials, Experience and Special Operations), Studio Engineers, Programme Managers, Clay and Alias Sculptors, Surfacing, and Visualisation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This role is within the Interior Surfacing group and could be at either Whitley or Gaydon, project dependent to suit the needs of the business.  As an experienced Surface Engineer, you will be part of a team working alongside experienced surface engineers under the direction of a project leader.  You will liaise between design and engineering as you deliver key interior components and assemblies on time to surfacing timing schedules adhering to design intent and engineering and manufacturing requirements.  You will be expected to develop your ICEM skills to world class levels in your geometry output, meeting specified quality targets whilst benchmarking best in class craftsmanship solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With a passion for the automotive industry, you’ll have experience ideally within automotive or Industrial design with strong knowledge of CATIA V5 and V6. You’ll have excellent communication and data analysis skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. If you have experience of VRED this would be beneficial.

You’ll be self-motivated, confident with strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, ideally you’ll hold a Degree level qualification within Automotive/Industrial design or equivalent within a creative discipline.
