As Supplier Parts Quality Engineer, you’ll get the opportunity to “deep dive” into quality concerns and work with our team to improve supplier performance. You’ll manage a team of shift based engineers and associates to support the plant Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve Right First Time and Quality Audit concerns resulting from supplier part quality concerns. Your role will involve liaison with the suppliers and the wider STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) team, using technical and practical problem solving skills to support Jaguar Land Rover in managing and improving supplier performance.

 

You’ll build and maintain a robust partnership with Jaguar Land Rover’s 3rd Party Containment Company, ensuing safe working practices and the robustness of reworks and containments.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have an understanding of structured problem resolution or six sigma methodologies together with experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You’ll have experience of solving practical problems in a manufacturing or technical environment, and will have the ability to manage both internal customers and external suppliers to ensure optimal working practices.

 

Able to apply analytical rigour to develop and drive well thought out operational plans, you’ll be able to collaborate across functions and combine a short term, pragmatic focus with strategic vision. Naturally you’ll have a proven track record in delivering results on complex issues within a highly pressurised environment.

The role involves working a 2 week rotational shift pattern of 6.30am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10.30pm.
