Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our vehicles are admired and desired across the world for luxurious design and outstanding engineering. Our Engineering and Manufacturing team are driving this incredible experience; being the ideas and expertise behind their creation is even more exhilarating.
The Studio Engineering team's main responsibility is to ensure that design integrity is maintained, alongside feasible vehicle delivery.
Working as the Studio Engineer, you’ll ensure that the integrity of the design vision is maintained, while delivering a feasible vehicle by managing the Feasibility Checkpoint Process and handing over to the surfacing team.
You'll be working closely with both design and attribute teams to drive compatibility between design themes and programme assumptions, ensuring communication via the Design Programme Attribute team – the main forum, for design issue resolution.
By supporting and assisting the studio engineering activities for interior and exterior programmes, you’ll deliver a single car line, as well as being responsible for the adherence of the design themes to legal requirements, programme assumptions, internal standards and attribute requirements.
An integral part of your role will be to liaise with multiple stakeholders, understanding and interrogating input to ensure both quality and feasibility, whilst proactively contributing to the design team to improve the aesthetic.
All the while you’ll ensure that the manufacturing is delivered to a high quality standard.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You'll be technically creative, with a background in engineering design and the delivery of vehicle packages, system components, or attribute driven technical solutions. In addition you'll have exceptional people skills, meaning you’ll be comfortable driving cross-functional feasibility alongside design requirements.
Ideally you'll have worked in an automotive design environment and possess an engineering degree or similar.
Finally, you'll understand design processes and be able to draw on your communication and project delivery skills in a highly complex, technical design environment.
BENEFITS
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
