When it comes to the future, our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is planning it today. Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities.

Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled AME team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.

The AME Manufacturing Business Office serves the wider Manufacturing organisation with multiple activities coordinating processes. Within the function is the Global Manufacturing Strategic Planning Team who cover Global Footprint, Pre­Business Approval Programmes, Make vs. Buy Studies, External Sales, Strategic Planning and Manufacturing Feasibility.

The Global Manufacturing Strategic Planning team support and facilitate the wider Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing functions and departments in the development, refinement and publication of the Jaguar Land Rover Future Global Footprint Strategy.

As Strategic Planning Manager you’ll develop cross functional implementation plans to support the Jaguar Land Rover cycle plan and growth plans. Organising and leading project meetings for all manufacturing functions, you’ll ensure project deliverables are achieved, and be responsible for reporting out project status and representing the function to key stakeholders across the organisation. You’ll also be responsible for capital and revenue budget generation, project management, cost and feasibility studies and benchmarking.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have strong communication and stakeholder management competencies, being confident and outgoing with exceptional networking, interpersonal and influencing skills. Resilient and tenacious, you’ll be able to manage challenges and obstacles, and also have an ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.

You’ll have demonstrable project management experience and an expertise in data capture, benchmarking, analysis and interpretation of data, drawing insights and articulately presenting complex information back in various forums.

You’ll be key in representing this function to the wider Jaguar Land Rover organisation and will display high levels of business acumen, demonstrating leadership behaviours across the team and throughout your communications and relationships. This function is growing and developing in response to business demands and therefore you’ll be an individual who will thrive on developing this role, seeking new challenges and be eager to expand this role outside of this remit.

The willingness and ability to travel internationally is a part of the scope of this position.
