WHAT TO EXPECT

As the Strategic Buyer within Capital Equipment for the Powertrain and Test facilities, you’ll be supporting and working closely with the UK and Global Delivery Buyers (and other Buyers e.g. Slovakia) e.g. Slovakia) for Powertrain & Test who are will be responsible for the contract and supplier relationship management, and supplier relationship management for this category as well as the sourcing of lower value, regional projects.

 

In this exciting role, you’ll have a close collaborative working relationship with your internal customers in Your primary internal customer will be Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) and Powertrain Test Operations which forms part of the overall Manufacturing Function. You’ll have a close collaborative and structured working relationship with these stakeholder groups. You’ll be purchasing tangible assets, for located in our engineering and manufacturing facilities.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll join us with strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills along with an understanding of category management principles and global business understanding and experience.

 

 You’ll be results driven with who demonstrates tenacity, drive and perseverance, able to with the ability to deliver in a complex, and highly demanding environment to drive the business forward in a positive way.. Naturally, you’re an excellent communicator and leader able to support, mentor and develop your team. You’re a good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas and an effective team player who actively develops and supports team members. You’ll understand category management principles and have global business understanding and experience.
