Within this role you’ll manage current model warranty programmes and will support escalations from the our Plant teams with emerging warranty issues that impact our ability to meet and exceed our Customer First targets. A systematic diagnosis and practical problem solving approach will be required to drive root cause countermeasures of specific issues. You’ll manage and drive our supply base to deliver defect free products.

 

Working closely with the SPQ (Supplier Parts Quality) team to recognise trends in RFT/FTT (Right First Time/First Time Through) and drive resolution before they translate into warranty claims. Finally, you’ll support the STA vision of driving manufacturing excellence into the supply base of the given components and will require a mixture of operational, tactical and strategic activities.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have an understanding of structured problem resolution or six sigma methodologies together with experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You’ll have a proven practical problem solving background in a manufacturing or technical environment and will be adapt to managing both internal customers and external suppliers to ensure optimal working practices.

 

Your change leadership/management skills will be second to none along with your ability to challenge and drive world class operational excellence. Able to apply analytical rigour to develop and drive well thought out operational plans, you’ll be able to collaborate across functions and combine a short term, pragmatic focus with strategic vision.

 

Naturally you’ll have a proven track record in delivering results on complex issues within a highly pressurised environment
