This role offers a talented and enthusiastic individual like you the great opportunity to “deep dive” into quality concerns and work with our team to improve supplier performance.

 

As STA Launch engineer you’ll have responsibility for working closely with the supply base to ensure all supplier related quality issues that arise as a result of poor manufacturing processes within the supply base are robustly resolved.

 

You’ll work cross functionally with our Manufacturing and Engineering teams, as well as our supplier partners, to provide technical problem solving support and solutions to complex problems.  

 

The STA Launch engineer plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the manufacturing plant and the wider STA organisation to ensure the correct level of supplier engagement is in place at suppliers and that clear two way communication channels are in place to drive effective permanent corrective actions.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have an understanding of six sigma methodologies together with a demonstrable knowledge and experience gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You’ll have a proven practical problem solving background in a manufacturing or technical environment and will be adapt to managing both internal customers and external suppliers to ensure optimal working practices.

 

You’ll be an individual who is able to apply analytical rigour to develop and drive well thought out operational plans, collaborate across functions and combine a short term, pragmatic focus with strategic vision. Naturally you’ll have a proven track record in delivering results on complex issues within a highly pressurised environment
