As the Solution Architect – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for Jaguar Land Rover you’ll be responsible for leading and shaping solution designs for PLM capability. To do this you’ll proactively engage with business stakeholders, lead solution architects and enterprise architects working within your function to cover all IT initiatives, from initial impact assessment of change to a solution design for delivery.

Day-to-day you’ll produce high quality, fit for purpose PLM solution designs which meet functional and non-functional requirements, are designed for service and customer experience, and which adhere to existing or newly agreed Jaguar Land Rover reference architectures, as well as current technology industry standards. You’ll be in a key position to provide technology consultancy to your business and IT colleagues, working within the assigned product and business domain.

By contributing to the Jaguar Land Rover IT strategic architecture you’ll assist in translating PLM business requirements and priorities into coherent solution designs, which deliver on the Target State Architectures, Reference Architectures, Patterns and Standards, and Technology Radars.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll have extensive experience in delivering PLM IT Solution Designs at a senior level for large enterprise implementations, using products from major vendors such as Dassault and Siemens. In addition, you’ll have strong exposure to both Waterfall based and Agile or Scrum based methodologies, along with experience using a wide variety of current and legacy IT technology components.

 

It’s essential that you have significant experience as a practitioner in the role of PLM Solution Designer or Architect, delivering appropriate software application designs and integrating cross-technology solutions. Thanks to that experience you’ll have the proven ability to think strategically, analyse data and information, then develop and deliver appropriate, innovative and effective solutions. Ideally you’ll also demonstrate the delivery of pragmatic solutions that balance project and programme constraints against strategic direction, and as required, successfully reach agreed compromises with stakeholders.

 

Finally you’ll be capable of producing detailed PLM integration designs using industry standard integration components, in accordance with established integration patterns and policies.
