An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

The Software Project Engineer and Software Verification Engineer roles are key in delivering high-quality software into multiple engine and control projects.

The Software and Verification Engineers will work closely with the Supplier and Control System Design teams to implement and test all software functions and features. Throughout, they will require a significant focus on quality to ensure the software creation and verification are conducted according to Jaguar Land Rover’s quality processes and that they are compliant with relevant standards (including ASPICE). They will also have a role to play in developing and improving processes as well as tools to further the efficiency and quality of the development lifecycle.

Taking either role, you’ll work in a model-based development environment, focusing on creation of software from controls system designs through to configuration of the autocode environment. You’ll be responsible for running software-in-the-loop tests (including code coverage) and improving software builds.

Your role will also be to concentrate on functional and interface testing by utilising hardware-in-the-loop rigs and through in-vehicle testing. Working with the Control System Design, HiL and Calibration teams, you’ll support the development of test cases and will play a key role in identifying bugs and issues with the software while also performing initial root cause analysis and preparing test sign-off reports.

For these roles, it is vital that candidates will demonstrate experience of managing and delivering complex control software projects from concept to series production and to liaise at both a detailed technical and a management level.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be successful, you’ll come with proven experience of software implementation or verification within either a software development or software / functional test role, delivering a real-time embedded control application while working at a technical level with suppliers.

Your experience will encompass the full embedded software development lifecycle, quality processes, test environments and tools (MATLAB, Simulink, dSPACE, TargetLink, Embedded Coder, CAN, FlexRay), ETAS INCA and also Change and Version Configuration Management Tools such as RTC.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
