WHAT TO EXPECT
Infotainment and Connected Car technologies are increasing in complexity, and now have an impact on the whole vehicle. In your new role as a Software System Architect, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and author the software architecture and functional requirements for our infotainment systems, ensuring alignment to the Vehicle Infotainment Programme requirements. You’ll be supporting software development on a Linux and QNX basis, with a focus on Smartphone connectivity integration using USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi technologies.
You’ll work with a team of multi-disciplined engineers responsible for developing system architecture, as well as the external software integrator and 3 rd party suppliers, to resolve conflicts and ensure on-time and on-budget programme delivery. You’ll provide system requirements analysis using the infotainment system software design process and review infotainment software system design documents to ensure best practice.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll be able to analyse feature use cases ad derive detailed requirements and software designs, using in-depth experience of software development and relevant tools. You’ll have integrated Smartphone connectivity technologies into vehicles before, and you’ll understand the project delivery process within an automotive manufacturing environment.
You’ll be able to schedule and carry out complex tasks on a strict timeline, and you’ll provide technical knowledge and stakeholder management skills. Infotainment system knowledge and its design using Controller Area Network or FLEXRAY is advantageous, as is working knowledge of C and C++. Any experience of working with media device connectivity via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB is also beneficial.
BENEFITS
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
