Job description

In your new role as a SmartEye Analytics Validation Engineer, you’ll be part of the Infotainment team - which designs, develops and shapes the future of the software systems that are used across our world-class vehicles. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.

Working with Data Analysts and a broader community of connected services specialists, you’ll support, lead and guide the team to deliver current and future developments for our data platform. This will improve our customer experience and help us to become a world-class data organisation.

To achieve this, you’ll outline, measure and assess the data transfer roadmap; create standardised data requirements; detect, validate and manage bugs on the server or data analytics platform; and translate data into understandable metrics.

In your role, you’ll:

· Create Jaguar Land Rover standardised requirements, specifications for off-board server and data platform
· Interpret data, from internal and production vehicles, and generate data insight dashboards
· Process data and translate into understandable metrics
· Identify best analytics tools to provide time-series trends based on production and engineering fleets.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With a background in Big Data and statistics, you’ll be experienced in the analysis of consumer trends, patterns and associations, ideally having previously worked in the automotive industry.

You’ll have had proven success in the development and maintenance of customer-facing data services; and experience in developing and operating high-uptime data services. As well as having knowledge of the interfaces that are used in infotainment systems, you’ll also be skilled in software capabilities such as Python.

You’ll need:

· A strong statistical background, in Big Data analytics, data manipulation, and recovery exposure
· Knowledge of Software and Hardware interfaces used in infotainment systems
· Advanced numerical methods.

JLR considers that this role meets the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. Therefore, JLR will support an application for visa sponsorship for this role.
