Supporting our vision to create exciting and highly complex systems that deliver new customer experiences in Autonomy and Dynamic Performance and help maintain our position as an industry leader is the challenge here.

 

As a resident engineer, you’ll be a key player on one of our new cutting edge Chassis System projects at a high profile supplier in Germany. Indeed, you’ll be the interface between the supplier and our engineering team back in the UK. As well as ensuring the project runs smoothly, you’ll see that technologies are designed to robust system engineering processes and deployed across all programmes to time and budget. We’ll also rely on you to liaise with and coordinate a small team of highly technical system engineers and a wider team of cross-functional specialists across the business.

 

In summary, the role promises to be challenging but highly rewarding, offering exposure to nearly all facets of vehicle development and the chance to work independently and use the available resources as you see fit.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

We’re looking for an engaging and proactive individual with excellent business behaviours - someone can get on with teams of engineers of all styles and levels of experience and deal effectively with conflict. Because you’ll be working in Germany for two years (but returning to the UK for roughly a week every month) after an initial familiarisation period in the UK, excellent English and German language skills are a must, as is a track record as a great project manager. And, if you’re familiar with the DOORS requirement toolset and/or have experience of complex mechatronic system design processes from concept to production delivery, even better (although this isn’t a deal breaker).
