As a Regional Delivery Buyer, you’ll be part of the team that manages post-sourcing/contracting activities for a range of designated commodities and suppliers. You’ll help us to develop and implement purchasing strategies that meet our exacting quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness targets.

 

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and supporting our Commodity Managers and Strategic Buyers, you’ll manage effective operational relationships with each of your suppliers, making sure that our commodity, plant and just-in-time strategies are met. This will mean that new product introductions meet the required cost targets and that any commercial or production issues can be mitigated.

 

Using our Enterprise Resource Planning principles and systems, you’ll do everything you can to maximise internal transactional efficiency, minimise total costs, and drive system compliance throughout the supply chain. You’ll also participate in Sourcing Board meetings, ensuring that design decisions are based on an accurate analysis of supply chain and product cost drivers.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With previous experience in a similar purchasing, logistics or supply chain management role, you’ll have experience of delivering complex supply chain solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. Ideally, you’ll have previously worked in the automotive or engineering sector, or a related industry, and will have had exposure to a diverse range of challenges, cultures and ways of working

 

Your proven procurement expertise and strong negotiation skills will have given you an expert grasp of supplier relationship management and the total cost of acquisition impact.  You’ll now be looking for an a new challenge within a strong manufacturing business, where you can progress your career as part of one of the top purchasing teams in the country.
