WHAT TO EXPECT

The Emissions Test Delivery team is part of Powertrain Test Operations and Product Development. The team maintains productive workflow from the emission test facility, and also delivers test capabilities to the Powertrain Engineering and Certification teams. Testing, using complex emissions measurements instruments, is required to drive the design and optimisation of control technology. This is required in order to meet required vehicle targets.

As an Emissions Tester, you’ll focus on the installation of vehicles and instrumentation. You'll be involved in testing the vehicles on a rolling road, with the use of computer-based control systems within a test cell environment. With your drive, knowledge and attention to detail, you'll control and analyse the collection of exhaust gases, and will generate test reports as part of the first line analysis. Your expertise is the key to driving

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Like us, you are passionate about quality and progression. You'll need a recognised automotive apprenticeship, or a level 3 automotive qualification. You'll have experience in the operation of emission test facilities alongside experience in computer-based control systems. Your ability to carry out fault diagnostics and to resolve the problem is key to driving the business forward.

You'll have knowledge of health and safety requirements as well as risk assessments. A full clean driving licence will also be required. You’ll work on a double day shift pattern and will provide support for the facility, which runs 24/. You will be primarily based in Whitley/Gaydon, managing the workflow of a small team who operate during your shift.
