WHAT TO EXPECT

 

In your new role as a Prototype Vehicle Project Engineer, you’ll be co-ordinating with an exciting and innovative new team of contractors responsible for the design, manufacture, and delivery of our prototype Body in White assembly fixtures for both our vehicles and tooling systems.

 

You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of vehicle and Body in White tooling solutions into the plant, ensuring full build support and following the process from conception and planning phases through to delivery. You’ll provide support during virtual engineering,  as well as managing the physical delivery at the plant phase.

 

Your time will be split between our Whitley facility, where we design & assemble the equipment in state of the art workshops, and the Body in White pilot plant in Castle Bromwich, where we install components and build our vehicles.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll be passionate about the automotive industry and associated technologies. You’ll have excellent knowledge of Body in White construction & Bill of Process methodologies, along with proven experience within project management and leadership of technical teams.

 

You’ll be a self-motivated, resilient manager who is keen to deliver results in a demanding environment, resolving issues with a logical and analytical approach using exceptional communication skills.

 

Experience of CAD software such as DigiBuck or Catia V5/6 TCe is desirable, as is  previous exposure to automotive manufacturing and construction and prototyping.
