ADVERTISED SALARY: £31,500 - £40,000

 

LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands

 

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

As Powertrain TVM Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for responsible for the project management of material cost reduction tasks on all Internal Combustion Engine and Electrification Propulsion System commodities across all Jaguar Land Rover vehicle lines and support delivery of future commodity cost targets.

 

In addition, you’ll support the delivery of Powertrain LEAP (Leadership in Excellence, Efficiency, Agility, Acumen, Performance, People and Profitability) and TVM (Total Value Management) targets with a specific focus on Internal Combustion Engine commodities and also Electrification propulsion system commodities to achieve the delivery of Design cost saves through the deployment of the TVM process, idea generation and large-scale cross-platform opportunities (Mega Projects).

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You’ll need a good engineering background with a “lowest-total-cost” mind-set, with the ability to deliver results under pressure while responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.

 

As well as having good understanding of project management, you’ll have excellent stakeholder management skills with a speed in decision making through establishing alignment, clarity, appropriate resources and sense of urgency.

 

Ideally, you’ll be competent in using standard IT system (MS office) including advanced formulas and filters, pivot tables and VBA macro.
